Yesterday was a big day for “Back To The Future” Fans! It was the day that Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd’s characters in “Back to the Future” traveled forward in time. When you were watching the movie in July of 1985, were you wondering which of the predictions would come true?
Here is a list of the predictions that did and did not come true.
Back To The Future Predictions That Came True:
Self-tying shoes – Nike has come out with self-tying sneakers that for right now will only be available on an auction site to benefit Parkinson’s Disease
Big-screen TVs – If you don’t have one you probably know someone who does. They have been around since the late 90’s – early 2000’s
News drones – It seems like anyone can get a drone nowadays
Hands-free video games – Kids and adults all over have been waving their hands to play Wii for quite awhile
Pepsi Perfect – This one is a limited edition
Video glasses – Anyone using the Google Glass yet?
Back To The Future Predictions That Did Not Come True:
The Cubs playing in the World Series – Sorry Cubs fans but around here we say “Go Mets”
Hover Boards – Although a hover board is available, it would require a special surface to ride on and is not able to go all over
As soon as self-tying shoes become available in the office we will let you know, but for right now we will all just have to tie or velcro our own shoes!
